Chinese health authority said Sunday that it received reports of 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the mainland Saturday, of which five were imported.
The other six new cases were domestically transmitted, the National Health Commission said in a daily report, noting that five cases were reported in Heilongjiang province and one in Guangdong province.
No deaths nor suspected cases were reported Saturday on the mainland, according to the commission.
Forty-eight patients of COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals Saturday on the Chinese mainland, according to the commission.
Of the total imported cases, 940 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 694 were being treated in hospitals with 22 in severe conditions.
No deaths had been reported from the imported cases.
As of Saturday, 82,827 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland, and 4,632 people had died of the disease. Altogether 77,394 patients had been discharged from hospitals after recovery by the end of Saturday.
Also on Saturday, 30 newly-added asymptomatic cases, including seven from abroad, were reported on the mainland. Four asymptomatic cases were re-categorized as confirmed cases, and nine people, six of whom were from abroad, were freed from medical observation, according to the commission.
